Yes! Our XL go-karts aren’t just for kids; they’re designed for adults too, with recommended height guidelines provided for each model.

If you’re on the taller side, our XL go-karts with an XXL frame are a great choice! Both adults and children as young as 5 years old, with a minimum height of 125 cm, can enjoy these large go-karts. With an ideal height range of 125cm to 190cm for the XL frame and 125cm to 210cm for the XXL frame, they are perfect for both solo rides or fun with a passenger.

BERG offers two types of drive systems for its go-karts: Direct Drive and BFR (Brake Freewheel Reverse), each tailored to different age groups and driving styles.

The **Direct Drive** system is ideal for younger children, making it perfect for go-karts like the Buzzy and Reppy models. With this system, a chain directly connects the bottom bracket to the rear axle, meaning the pedals move along with the go-kart. To brake, simply hold the pedals still. The **BFR (Brake Freewheel Reverse)** system is a unique, patented design exclusive to BERG go-karts. Found on our larger go-karts, the BFR system allows for versatile control—pedal forwards, let the pedals stay still while riding, use a back-pedal brake, and pedal in reverse after coming to a stop.
